The genesis of The Australian Timber Company was a year long, 20,000 mile, family adventure to virtually every corner of Australia. Countless bushwalks, visits to local artisans, drives through all types of forests and trips to local mills kindled a deep admiration and love for the trees of Australia. They are special trees like nothing else on earth.

All our wood is sourced directly from local individual sawmills in Australia, air dried then kiln dried, debarked and imported directly to the United States.  All our wood comes from responsible and sustainable mills and from private farms and land.  Most of these trees would be left to rot in place or chipped if not for our partner sawmills who turn them into slabs.
